The Tao Te Ching

Tao Te Ching is divided into two chapters. The first chapter of the original text is "De Jing" and the second chapter is "Tao Jing". There is no chapter. Later, it is changed to "Tao Jing" at the front and "De Jing" at the back, and it is divided into 81 chapters. The first version that can be seen now is the bamboo slip "Lao Tzu" unearthed from the Chu Tomb in Guodian, Jingmen, Hubei Province in 1993. The two silk manuscripts "Lao Tzu" unearthed from Han Tomb No. 3 in Mawangdui, Changsha in 1973 are versions of the early Western Han Dynasty.
